HISTORY
I am a State of Arizona Licensed Massage Therapist.
Originally trained in Swedish and Deep Muscle Therapies in 1985, I taught Anatomy, Physiology and massage at Westwind Academy of Massage Therapy for 8 years. I was always fascinated with Bio-mechanical contributions to tension patterns and chronic pain, and in 1990 studied at The Rolf Institute in Boulder, Colorado. Once a Certified Rolfer, however, I’m no longer an active member of the Rolf Institute. My specialty is in the Structural Integration work developed by Dr. Ida P. Rolf PhD, CranioSacral Therapy, as well as the very effective Customized Therapeutic Massage I call a “craniorolfingmassage”.
In the early 1990’s, I was active in massage politics which contributed to law changes that improved Therapist integrity in the City Of Phoenix.
I’m originally from Bridgeport, Connecticut; now live in Peoria, and have been in Arizona since 1974. My awesome husband Pete and I have been married for 35 years. We have 3 adult sons, great daughters-in-law with beautiful families, and don’t forget the grand dogs. My mom lives in Arizona with us and is an important part of our lives.
I am very focused. I like to achieve high and operate in excellence. I like to win!
I’m very involved in my church and sing on the Worship team. I enjoy learning new things and putting that knowledge into action. I’m currently working on a breakthrough in Spanish speaking and comprehension. It is also my desire to conquer the next level of piano and improving my vocal talent. For my own stress reduction, I like to hang out with my husband, go to movies, and eat out and we like musical theater and we love to travel too. We have great adult kids who are fun to spend time with and 2 beautiful granddaughters (both out of state). We get to love on them a couple times a year.
My goal is to offer people healthier options to support their wellness needs. I had a teacher once that said, “Don’t tell people what not to do, give them a better alternative for what they are already doing”. I am whole person oriented. Humans are complex beings and physical issues are often whole person life events that have contributed to our pains and discomfort. In an effort to serve the whole person, I became a Certified Chaplain so I can minister more effectively to spirit, soul and body. I provide a safe, non-judgmental environment for my clients to let go. Please read the testimonials of some of those individuals that have been impacted by my work over the years. You will notice that many of them are long time clients
I love to help people have better quality lives and be at their best.
I look forward to working with you!
